St Brigid's Day House Tours

About this event
St. Brigid’s Day: A Celebration of Craft.
This February, join us for our regular Georgian House tours with a special twist in honour of St. Brigid, the patron saint of craft. Alongside the history of the Cobbe family, we’ll be taking a closer look at traditional Irish knitting designs and heritage craft throughout the house.
It’s a lovely way to explore the estate while celebrating the skilled hands and artistry that have been passed down through generations.
St. Brigid: As the patron saint of weavers and crafters, she represents the transition from the dark of winter to the “new life” of spring -which is exactly when people used to knit new garments for the year ahead.
